Bob Taylor Engineering, Inc., of Lexington Park, Maryland, offers the highest quality professional services to its clients. We provide accurate testing results, performed in accordance with American Society of Testing Materiel™ (ASTM) and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials™ (AASHTO) guidelines.

Preliminary Geotechnical Investigations

BTE performs thorough geotechnical subsurface investigations to assist in the design and construction phases of all commercial, residential, and storm water management projects. Testing is conducted within BTE's accredited laboratories to provide the necessary data for the preparation of complete soils reports. Phase I Environmental Site Assessments are available and include site location descriptions, including historical review and pertinent background information for current owners as well as site maps. We identify, review, and document known waste sites. A thorough review of all subsurface investigations is conducted to identify anomalies and abnormalities or to determine the existence of potential environmental contaminates.

Field Testing and Inspection Services

BTE will staff and provide construction supervision of engineered fills and concrete foundations with all necessary testing performed according to ASTM and AASHTO standards and specifications. The BTE lab staff is comprised of experienced field and laboratory technicians certified and licensed through the American Concrete Institute™ and the Maryland Department of the Environment for water sampling. BTE labs also hold certifications through the US Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) and AMRL. All laboratory testing results are reviewed and approved by Bob Taylor, PE Maryland registration #11043.
